May 9: DC Flight to Keflavik, Iceland and Quick Layover

When I add up all of my airfare, hotel, and excursions expenses for my 12-day European trip travelling to three different countries, seven different cities, the total cost was: $1,124.69 USD, that breaks down to about $93.72 per day. Was it worth it? Heck yes! The memories that I will cherish for a lifetime were without a doubt worth every penny!
On May 5th, 2019 I purchased my flight from Washington DC Dulles (IAD) to Raleigh Durham International Airport (RDU) using United Airways (www.unitedairways.com) for $118.30.
On February 13, 2019 I purchased my Basic Economy flight with United Airlines from RDU to IAD for $95.30. I used http://www.unitedairways.com .
On January 31, 2019 I purchased my roundtrip flights from London Stansted to Naples, Italy on Ryan Air’s website (www.ryanair.com) for $97.01.
On April 4, 2019 I purchased my stay for my layover in Washington D.C. I used the hotwire app; however, they also have a website: http://www.hotwire.com . I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Herndon, with free airport transfer, for $75.78.
On March 6th, 2019 I purchased a group experience: a photoshoot in London Secret Corners. I purchased the experience using Air B & B’s app; however, they also have a website: http://www.airbnb.com .
On March 20th, 2019 I booked my stay for the evening prior to my flight from London Stansted to Naples, Italy. I booked my stay using hotwire’s app; however, there website is also: http://www.hotwire.com . Hotwire now has a feature in which they show how many stars rating the hotel is via travel advisor and also give you hints as to which hotel your incognito hotel maybe. Thus, prior to purchasing my hotel stay, though the site did not explicitly state the hotel was the London Stansted Holiday Inn, using the context clues, I was 100% positive it would be. It was one of my more expensive stays, but believe it was definitely worth it. The front desk receptionists were a bit stiff and unfriendly. The location of course was wonderful. The pizza I purchased from the bar/restaurant and took back to my room was delicious. The ambiance in the bar/restaurant while I waited was full of laughter and fun, though I honestly felt I didn’t belong there, as it was crowded with several groups of people, and I myself was a lone traveller.
On Febuary 20th, 2019 I booked my stay while visiting the city of London for two days, one night. I booked using the Air B & B app; however, they also have a website: http://www.airbnb.com . I stayed with Alex (whom I never met) and his family in their room titled “South Kensington High Sleeper.” It was the most perfect location; again, what a steal!
